West Brom Relegated From Premier League After Arsenal Defeat

By Daily Sports on May 9, 2021

West Bromwich Albion were relegated from the English Premier League after a 3-1 loss away to Arsenal on Sunday.

First-half goals from Emile Smith Rowe and Nicolas Pepe left West Brom struggling at 2-0 down.

Matheus Pereira pulled a goal back in the 67th minute but West Brom's fate was sealed when Arsenal's Willian made it 3-1 with a superb free-kick in the last minute of normal time.

West Brom will join already-relegated Sheffield United in playing in the second-tier Championship. (AFP)
