Chelsea Join Barcelona In Race For Wijnaldum

By Daily sports on April 2, 2021

Chelsea are the latest club to show an interest in Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum.

The Dutch central midfielder is out of contract in the summer, and is not likely to renew with Jurgen Klopp’s team.

According to Spanish outlet Marca, Chelsea are throwing their hat in the ring, despite the longstanding link between Wijnaldum and Barcelona.

Rumours since the summer in Spain and England have suggested the 30-year-old will swap the Anfield club for the Catalan giants.

Their boss Ronald Koeman is a huge admirer of Wijnaldum, and they are willing to offer him a three year contract.

But if he wishes to stay in the Premier League, Chelsea would be an enticing option as well.

PSG, Juventus and Inter Milan are also vying for Wijnaldum's signature. (Tribal Football)
