Enyimba striker, Joseph Osadiaye has dismissed Lobi Stars as no threat to his side’s desire for three points in Sunday’s matchup.
The Nigerian champions will host the Pride of Benue in Sunday’s Nigerian top flight matchday 14 clash at adopted ground, Umuahia Township Stadium.
Osadiaye said though Lobi Stars will not come cheap but the whole points are 100% non-negotiable for his side.
“We must regain our stride with the tie against Lobi Stars after we shared the spoils on Wednesday against oriental neighbours, Heartland.
“The encounter is certain to be tough but we will beat Lobi Stars for the three points at stake.
“Lobi Stars have always been a wife right from my days at Warri Wolves so I do not expect anything different at Enyimba,” said the former Warri Wolves marksman to supersport.com.
Osadiaye said his side will certainly defend the NPFL crown at the end of the ongoing league season.
“The league race is quite wide open we will certain win the league title at the end of the day.
“By the time we are successfully done with our outstanding matches we are sure to challenge for the summit.
“Of course, you know once we are up there at the summit others can only play catch-up.
“Our position on the league table should not mislead anybody we are still a force to be reckoned with in the domestic scene,” said the Nigerian goal poacher.
Enyimba are 19th on the 20-team top flight on 13 points with four matches to spare against former champions, Kano Pillars, Warri Wolves, Wikki Tourists and city rivals, Abia Warriors.
