Tuchel Responds To Questions On Haaland, Upamecano

By Daily sports on February 11, 2021

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel insists it is too early to speak about signing Dayot Upamecano and Erling Haaland.

The Blues are reportedly interested in the Bundesliga stars, along with a number of Europe's biggest clubs.

But out of respect for RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund, Tuchel has refused to comment on any potential transfer.

“I can understand the interest in the question and the interest of every fan and supporter to talk about these subjects,” Tuchel said. “I am always a fan and am interested in what's going on.

“But now it is February and there is a long way to go. As you get to know me, you will know I will not talk about other players who are under contract.

“This is the type of respect I show. Everything else will be decided behind closed doors. I'm sorry.” (Tribal Football)
