Fenerbahce, West Ham To Battle For Onyekuru’s signature

By Daily sports on January 22, 2021

West Ham United have reportedly entered the race to sign Nigeria international Henry Onyekuru.

According to Sabah, the English Premier League club will battle Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Galatasaray for the winger’s signature.

Onyekuru has been heavily linked with a return to Galatasaray in recent weeks, but their failure to wrap up a deal for the Monaco attacker in coming days could open the door for their crosstown rivals.

The Hammers are said to be keeping a close eye on proceedings with Onyekuru having spent time on Everton’s books without ever playing a game for the Toffees.

Onyekuru, 23, hasn’t played for Monaco since September last year and has only managed a total of eight appearances for the club since joining the French Ligue 1 outfit from Everton in August 2019.

He scored 17 goals in 56 appearances across two loan spells at Galatasaray. (African Football)
