NPFL: Rangers Chase Maximum Points To Port Harcourt

By Daily sports on December 30, 2020

Rangers FC will begin the chase for a double this season against Rivers United in Port Harcourt today at the Adokiye Amiesiamaka Stadium with the Enugu based side charged to go for all three points to confirm that the 2-0 spanking handed the CAF Confederation Cup hopefuls in a pre-season tourney recently was no fluke.

Games involving both sides have always been an end-to-end with Rivers United winning eight of the 21 official encounters and four ending in a draw. Rangers have won nine times.

With Ugwuoke Ugochukwu, Kenechukwu Agu, Tower Godspower and Chiamaka Madu at their best in midfield to pass to Israel Abia; new boys, Shedrack Asiegbu and Christian Nnaji, the possibility of nipping a win in this fixture is high. (Daily Independent)
