Serge Aurier Set For New Spurs Contract

By Daily sports on December 20, 2020

According to Football Insider, Spurs are considering plans to offer the Ivory Coast international a contract renewal after his recent performances.

Aurier has revived his career under Jose Mourinho at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and has started the club’s last five Premier League games.

Spurs recruited Matt Doherty from Wolves before the start of the 2020-21 season and reports suggested that Aureir would be shipped out to either AC Milan or Spartak Moscow, but Aurier took up the challenge and has impressed in recent weeks.

The 27-year-old joined the North London team from Paris Saint-Germain in August 2017 and is still contracted to the club until June 2022.

In total, Aurier has scored seven goals and provided 15 assists in 94 appearances for Spurs.

Mourinho’s team next face Leicester City on Sunday, eager to bounce back from their defeat to Liverpool earlier this week. (African Football)
