World Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China have been postponed to 2023 due to the coronavirus pandemic, World Athletics said on Thursday.
“It is with regret that we have agreed with the organisers of the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Nanjing (19-21 March 2021) to postpone the event to March 2023,” World Athletics said in a statement.
It added that an ongoing “significant uncertainty” forced them to reschedule the event again.
The original date for the indoor championships was March 2020, but in January it was postponed to March 2021 due to the virus. (Anadolu Agency)
