Manchester United To Battle Liverpool For Sarr’s Signature

By Daily sports on September 30, 2020

Manchester United have reportedly contacted Watford over the availability of Ismaila Sarr.

According to the Telegraph, the Red Devils have identified the Senegal international as an alternative to Jadon Sancho.

United have tried tirelessly to lure Sancho away from Borussia Dortmund over recent months but their attempts have been in vain as transfer deadline day creeps ever closer.

As a result, United have started to look elsewhere with Sarr now reportedly in their sights.

The 22-year-old joined the Hornets from Stade Rennais last year and despite scoring five goals and assisting six more he couldn’t help the club from suffering relegation back to the Championship.

Watford are said to be demanding at least £40 million for Sarr who moved to Vicarage Road for a reported fee of £25 million.

United’s Premier League campaign has gotten off to a shaky start with a 3-1 loss to Crystal Palace at Old Trafford followed by an unconvincing 3-2 win away to Brighton & Hove Albion. (African Football)
