Bertrand Traore is very close to sealing a return to English Premier League football.
According to multiple reports including Birmingham Live, the Burkina Faso international will join Aston Villa.
Olympique Lyonnais manager Rudi Garcia has confirmed that Traore will depart the French Ligue 1 club and it seems it is only a matter of time before the 25-year-old is confirmed as a Villa player.
Traore is said to have undergone his medical in Denmark where he is set to meet Villa’s new sporting director Johan Lange in Copenhagen.
The Premier League club are said to have forked out in the region of £19 million for the forward who joined Lyon from Chelsea three years ago.
Traore has scored 33 goals in 126 games for the French club. He has also played at the top level for Vitesse Arnhem and Ajax Amsterdam who he helped to the 2017 Europa League final.
He has two goals in 10 Premier League appearances. (African Football)
