Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has approved the appointment of members of the management board for Kano Pillars Football Club.
Surajo Shuaibu, Chairman of the club, made this known in a statement signed by Rilwanu Malikawa, the club’s Media Officer, on Thursday in Kano.
He added that the appointment was with immediate effect as the members had served as members of the club’s ad hoc management committee for one year.
“The appointment is based on the recommendations of the club management on the positive role they played in the ad hoc committee,” the club chairman said in the statement.
He stated that the new appointment called for dedication, hard work and commitment for the realisation of the mandate of the board.
Shuaibu further said the club management was waiting for directives from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for it to begin preparations fully ahead of the new football season.
