Nigeria international Anthony Nwakaeme has responded to reports linking him with Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
The 31-year-old winger caught the eye with his scoring form in the Turkish Super Lig during the 2019/20 season as he netted 11 goals for Trabzonspor.
Fenerbahce are reportedly keen to sign Nwakaeme, who has two years left on his current contract with Black Sea Storm.
The former Hapoel Be’er Sheva player revealed that he is yet to receive an offer from the 19-time Turkish champions.
“I have heard many things that have been said in the media,” Nwakaeme told the Punch.
“I’m still a player of Trabzonspor, my goal isn’t to leave at the moment.
“I have two years left on my contract and if I have to leave, there must be an offer officially made to the club.”
Nwakaeme has been a consistent performer for Trabzonspor since joining the club in 2018 having netted 10 goals in his debut season in the Suoer Lig.
The experienced player won the Israeli Premier League best player trophy in 2017.
He made his debut for Nigeria national football team against Algeria in a 1-1 draw in November 2017 and it remains his only appearance for the Super Eagles. (African Football)
