MFM FC goalkeeper disappointed to miss Enugu Ranger's clash

James Ayeyemi will not be available against Rangers on NPFL match day nine tie at the Agege Stadium on April 6.

Ayeyemi joined Olukoya Boys this term and has since maintained a starter's shirt but he won't be in action when in-form Enugu Rangers visit due to an injury he sustained in the 1-1 draw away at Plateau United.

In a chat just before he went for his scan, Ayeyemi revealed he hopes to make a quick comeback but the current state of his injury may not allow him to do that.

"I've been at the hospital since Monday same day when the team came back to Lagos. Though i felt I could try as much as I can to make a quick come back but my current state won't allow me to do that," Ayeyemi said.

"Initially I thought it's a thigh injury but suggestions are that it may be a hamstring. I'm optimistic that the exact situation will be revealed after my scan."

Ahead of the Enugu Rangers tie, Ayeyemi insist that MFM FC has quality in depth and that the Flying Antelope will be silenced.

"If I'm not available there are other proper replacement in the team that will do a very good job.

"Our team isn't just about a player, it's about a group of players who work together as a strong unit. The team spirit is a morale booster any day, any time and I'm confident that MFM FC will down Enugu Rangers," he added. (Goal.com)
