Barcelona Players Not Passing To Griezmann — Pundit

By Daily Sports on June 16, 2020

Antoine Griezmann should be considering his future at Barcelona.

So says French pundit Frederic Hermel, who covers Spanish football for RMC. Hermel was upset for Griezmann after he was hooked during victory at Real Mallorca.

He said, "The new normal is like the old. (Antoine) Griezmann continues to be sidelined at Barça. You have to say it the way it is.

“If Antoine Griezmann’s tenure means that he is on the right track at Barça? But no, that's not it! It is that he was leaving for the arrival of (Luis) Suarez in the 56th minute (against Mallorca). This is what is terrible. You could think that ... but no.

“I find it amazing that a player like Griezmann, who has no physical problem ... He is not extraordinary tonight, but they don’t pass the ball to him ... And still, tonight, he does a lot of work defensively. Because, at times, Barça suffered a lot defensively.

“You realise what it means for a player like Griezmann to go out in the 56th minute, while his competitors are (Martin) Braithwaite and Suarez returning from injury, for the big recovery match? I love Antoine, but it’s a casting error.” (RMC)
