Teenage striker Marcus Rashford scored the winner as Manchester United boosted their top-four hopes with a derby win this evening at Manchester City.
The 18-year-old collected Juan Mata’s pass, beat Martin Demichelis and coolly slotted home in the 15th minute.
Sergio Aguero was denied an equaliser when he struck the post with a near-post header from Yaya Toure’s cross.
United are now one point behind fourth-placed City, who lost Raheem Sterling and Joe Hart to injury.
