Super Eagles Hopeful Dessers Gives Transfer Hint

By Daily Sports on May 10, 2020

Heracles Almelo marksman Cyriel Dessers is looking forward to the summer transfer window.

The Super Eagles hopeful has put himself in the shop window after emerging joint-top scorer in the Dutch Eredivisie with 15 goals from 26 matches.

In the January transfer window, Dessers was linked with possible moves to clubs in Italy, Portugal and Spain but Heracles Almelo blocked his transfer because their target was to finish in the highest possible league position.

"But whether I leave? I have no idea. It will be a very exciting summer for me. Everything that doesn't happen will not make it any easier," Dessers said in an interview with FOX Sports via Utrechtfans.

“On the other hand: I have had a good season and became a top scorer. That is good advertising.”

Dessers is still waiting for official confirmation from the Eredivisie organizers, the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) on the top scorer award for the 2019-2020 season.

“I haven’t heard anything yet, but I’m curious. I actually hope to get confirmed that I am top scorer. But I don’t know.

“They have enough other things to think about now, I think,” he added.

Dessers returned to training at Heracles Almelo this week, approximately two months after featuring in his last game in the Eredivisie. (All Nigeria Soccer)
