By Daily Sports on April 12, 2020

Senegal international Idrissa Gueye says he hopes to stay with Paris Saint Germain (PSG) for a long time.

The defensive midfielder joined the French Ligue 1 champions from English side Everton FC prior to the start of the current season.

Gueye, 30, has quickly established himself as a regular in the PSG starting line-up under manager Thomas Tuchel.

The hard-tackling player, who won the Ligue 1 title with Lille OSC in 2011, has opened up about his first nine months with the Paris giants.

“I am very happy with my adventure, everything is going well and my family is happy to live in Paris,” Gueye sand on TuttoMercato.

“I have no reason to leave, here I am happy and I hope to stay at PSG for a long time.”

Gueye has featured in 31 games across all competitions for PSG this season and he has recorded one goal, and one assist.

PSG are sitting at the top of the Ligue 1 standings – 12 points above second-placed Olympique Marseille.

The Ligue 1 has been halted due to the coronavirus outbreak. (African Football)
