Ahmed Musa scored the only goal of a well-fought Moscow derby as CSKA defeated Spartak Moscow 1-0 in the derby on Sunday.
Musa scored on 11 minutes to give the hosts the win at a packed Arena Khimki.
The Super Eagles captain prodded home from a yard after exchanging passes with a teammate to leave the Spartak goalkeeper, Artem Rebrov, with no chance.
Musa has now scored seven goals in the league for CSKA this season and 12 in all competitions for the Army club.
He has netted once in the Russian Cup and four times in this season’s Uefa Champions League.
The 23-year-old has been called up by Nigeria’s interim coach, Samson Siasia, for the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifying matches against Egypt this month. © supersport.com
