12 Top European Clubs After Osimhen

By Daily Sports on April 1, 2020

Lille Metropole of France striker, Victor Osimhen, is being pressurised by 12 top European clubs, as Arsenal of England have stepped up their efforts to sign the Nigerian this summer.

After snatching Nicolas Pepe, who Osimhen replaced at Lille, The Gunners are again set to raid Lille at the end of the season, with their eyes fully set on the Super Eagles’ rookie.

To sign him, Arsenal will have to step up their push so s to outsmart four of their English Premier League (EPL) rivals, four other top teams from Spain and same number of suitors from Italy, who all want to sign the 21-year-old this summer.

EPL clubs wanting the Nigerians are Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool, as well as FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Valencia and Sevilla of Spain. Serie A clubs linked to him are AC Milan, AS Roma, SS Lazio and AS Napoli of Italy.

The report by Le Quotidien du Foot affirmed that Arsenal are among the chasing pack, who tried to sign him last summer.

Osimhen snubbed The Gunners then because his mentor, Ultimate Strikers Football Academy of Ojota, Lagos preferred a deal with VfL Wolfsburg of Germany, where he eventually spent four fruitless years wallowing in their youth team, before a loan deal took him to Sporting Charleroi of Belgium last season.
