Imo FA Suspends All Football Activities

Imo State Football Association has announced the immediate suspension of all football and its related activities in the state as a means of checking the Coronavirus (CONVID-19 pandemic.

Amanze Uchegbulam, Chairman of the State FA, made this known on Friday, 20/3/2020, while speaking on measures by the state football governing body to check the spread of the deadly CONVID-19.

Uchegbulam, who was 1st Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) 2006-2010, said his association took the action in line with current global and best medical precautionary reasons to avert a possible spread of the disease to the Nigerian South East state.

Most countries across the globe, including Nigeria, have suspended football activities in their nations, including their leagues, as a measure to check the spread of CONVID-19.
