New Nigeria international Josh Maja has set sights on playing for English giants Arsenal.
The 21-year-old striker is currently on the books of French side FC Girondins de Bordeaux having netted five goals in 15 Ligue 1 starts this season.
Maja was nurtured in the academies of Arsenal’s Premier League rivals, Crystal Palace and Fulham in London.
Before he secured a move to former Premier League club Sunderland in 2016.
The promising marksman, who was born in Lewisham, England to Nigerian parents, has opened up about his love for Arsenal.
“Obviously, growing up in London, one of my dreams is to play in the Premier League,” Maja said to beIN Ligue 1 Confo.
“Hopefully in the future, that opportunity will come.
“My team is Arsenal, so hopefully one day I’ll get the opportunity to play for them. If not, then I’ll keep supporting them anyway.”
Maja made his international debut for Nigeria on 10 September 2019 in a 2–2 friendly draw against Ukraine. (African Football)
