Arsenal Want Atletico’s Thomas Partey

By Daily Sports on March 3, 2020

Arsenal have reignited their interest in signing Ghana international Thomas Partey.

According to Spanish publication Libertad Digitial as reported by The Sun Gunners head coach Mikel Arteta is keen on bringing the Atletico Madrid midfielder to Emirates Stadium.

Partey reportedly has a £42million release clause in his contract with his current deal running until the end of the 2022-23 season.

Arteta is desperate to add some cover in front of what is a leaky Arsenal defence and Partey ticks all the boxes.

The 26-year-old has established himself as a regular at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in what is a notoriously robust Atleti unit coached by Diego Simeone.

Partey has scored three goals in 34 appearances for the Spanish LaLiga giants this season and was exceptional in the club’s 1-0 win over Liverpool last month. (African Football)
