AFCON Qualifier: Cash crunch affecting my preparations for Egypt clash —Coach Oliseh

By Daily Sports on February 20, 2016

Nigeria’s Head Coach Sunday Oliseh has said he is “struggling financially” to spy on the country’s  stars ahead of next month’s crunch AFCON qualifiers against Egypt.

He is quoted by mtnfootball.com as saying in an interview: “I am struggling financially, waiting for approvals to move around Europe, so it has been quiet.

“It has to do with transport, accommodation and other expenses while moving around.”

Oliseh was further quoted as saying that he needs to ascertain the current form of his players in Europe as well as their mental state before he calls them up for the double header against Egypt.

“I need to spend 15, 20 minutes on the phone to speak to each player before he is invited,” he reportedly said.

“Oliseh said he plans to open training camp for the Egypt showdown with players from the domestic league at least two weeks to the home game on March 25 in Kaduna,” the report said.
