Ashley Young Rejects Manchester United Contract Offer

By Taiwo Ibrahim on January 10, 2020

Manchester United captain Ashley Young has turned down the club’s new contract offer holding out for a move to Inter Milan.

The former Aston Villa winger has been linked with Inter Milan in recent days.

The club quickly arranged a deal for Young to prevent him from joining Inter Milan but he has rejected the offer.

According to Sky Sports, Young will not accept a place on the bench for United's premier league match against Norwich at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Inter Milan are now waiting for Manchester United to sanction a deal for their most senior player to move to San Siro.

Young is out of contract at the end of the season and he is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with any club in January.

He has made over 200 appearances for Manchester United since he joined from Aston Villa in 2011, winning the premier league title, FA Cup, Carling Cup and the Europa league.

Young has made 18 appearances for Manchester United this season in all competitions with a goal and a solitary assist to his credit.
