Former Warri Wolves Coach Atune Jolomi Alli has joined Akwa United as assistant to Head Coach Kennedy Boboye. Atune Jolomi assumed duty two days to Christmas.
The former National Under-17 Assistant Coach is not new to the Nigerian premier league having coached Warri Wolves in the past.
Atune Jolomi has played in the Delta FA Cup final 11 times. He has also played in the Delta FA Cup final with teams like Bisaloo FC, Warri Wolves feeders team, Delta Warriors and Warri Wolves.
He has been with the national under-13, under-15 and under-17 teams in the last four years.
Reacting to his appointment, Atune Jolomi thanked the Government and the Management of Akwa United for the opportunity given to him to work with the team.
He said: “I am very grateful for this offer to work here in Akwa United with Coach Kennedy Boboye. I look up to him because I know we will get a better working relationship.
“With what I met on ground from the management and the players we will be among the first top three by God’s grace.
“You see, the way I was welcome here in Akwa United I will work hard and put all I have in this job to see the team achieve big success at the end of the season.”
