Lord Honour FC of Warri are the champions of this year’s Delta State Bet9ja Royal Cup.
They defeated hard fighting Folly FC of Koko by 7-6 on penalties after full time ended goalless.
In the third place match Osevan FC of Kwale defeated hard-fighting Bobbies by 8-7 penalties after goalless full time.
Several ex-internationals were around to give support to the finals of one of the best grassroots football competitions in Nigeria.
They include former Super Eagles captain and coach Austin Eguaveon, Delta FA Chairman Edema Fuludu, Austin Popo, Ndubuisi Okosime, Victor Ezeji and Bet9ja Ambassador Victor Ikpeba.
Delta State Bet9ja Super Agent Marvel Dick and other agents were all present at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, for the finals.
Marvel Dick in his speech thanked everybody who contributed in one way or another to make the tournament a successful one.
“I must say that we the Bet9ja family are are grateful to the teams, the coaches, the referees, the press, the State Government and the ex-internationals for their support,” Dick said.
