Nigerian Football Club Beaten 20-0

By Obaseki Anthony on December 12, 2019

One of the world’s highest and most embarrassing scorelines in a football match was recorded on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, as the maiden edition of the Bet9ja Super League in Bayelsa, kicked off at the Samson Siasia Sports Complex in the state capital, Yenagoa.

The first game of the competition saw Glory Team VI whitewash Dynamic Stars 20-0.

It was a one-sided game from the blast of the whistle, with Glory Team VI in total control, and almost every of their attack resulting to a goal.

Okardi Inikurogha was the highest goal scorer with eight goals to his name.

The match witnessed a large turnout of spectators, including Bet9Ja representatives; Rufus Vwighojebi, Chief Polycarp Udeafor, Albert Manager, Tournament Coordinator Ada Gwegwe, and Secretary of the Bayelsa State Football Association, Nwankwe Diseye, as well as some Bayelsa FA board members.

Other fixtures will take place at the weekend at different centres in the state. The tournament, featuring clubs from various parts of Bayelsa, will end on December 29, 2019.
