2019 Bet9ja Royal Cup: Battleground Shifts to Round of 16

Action will commence in the Round of 16 in the 13th edition of the Bet9ja Royal Cup today, Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the Oleh Township Stadium.

Elite team, Lord Honour FC, will take on Jeremi United by 12 noon to herald the activities of the day in a tie that promises to offer the best of robust African brand of football.

Thereafter, at the same venue, Bobbies United will hope to show Henfield Academy how to walk the talk on the pitch by 2pm.

The two teams had played their separate group matches in Agbor before now and they would want to be weary of each other’s tactical prowess on the pitch.

The winners-take-it-all situation will continue again on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at the Kwale Township Stadium when FC Galaxy march out against Young Professionals by 12 noon and De Unique FC play Golden Friends by 2pm.

The Agbor Township Stadium will taste the knockout phase action on Saturday, November 2, 2019, with 90FC entertaining Osevan FC by 12pm and highly rated Rolly FC hoping to have a roller derby against Young Stars FC by 2pm.

In other pairings, Ekete United will trade tackles with Mega Stars of Asaba, who advanced after a 2 - 2 with MWF De Titans on Thursday in Group H. The game will be played by 12 noon at the Warri City Stadium on Wednesday, October 6, 2019.

Later that day at the same venue, surprise package of the tournament, Young Shall Grow FC, will test their resolve against fluid playing side, Delta Eagles of Ozoro.

Young Shall Grow FC had stunned God’s Project FC 1 - 0 in the last Group H tie to set the epic clash against the Ozoro side.

The encounter will kick off at 2pm.
