Luis Suarez scored the opener as Barcelona rolled to victory against Sevilla.
Barcelona pulled within two points of La Liga leaders Real Madrid with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Sevilla at the Camp Nou on Sunday.
Luis Suarez backed up his midweek brace in the Champions League with a sensational strike to give the Blaugrana the lead in the 27th minute – the Uruguay striker bicycling home Nelson Semedo’s elevated cross with his left foot from the centre of the area.
Barca went two goals ahead five minutes later through midfielder Arturo Vidal, who poked home a sublime cross from Arthur that found the stretching Chile international all alone behind the defence.
Ousmane Dembele got in on the act shortly after with a cool solo finish after a turnover to give Ernesto Valverde’s men a commanding lead heading into half-time.
Lionel Messi wrapped up the scoring with a sumptuous free kick in the 79th minute, beating the wall and a diving Tomas Vaclik for his first goal in all competitions this season.
Ronald Araujo and Dembele were sent off in the final four minutes as Barca finished the match with just nine men.
The win gives Barcelona 16 points from eight matches, while sixth-placed Sevilla remain at 13. (ESPN)
