Olori Babes Set For Pro League Promotion Play-Off

By Obaseki Anthony on October 3, 2019

Warri-based female team, Olori Babes Football Club, is set to make her debut in the 2018/2019 season of the Nigeria Female Pro League.

The team is set for the zonal pro league play-off scheduled to hold at the Confluence Stadium in Lokoja, Kogi State, from today, Thursday, October 3, to Monday, 7th.

Olori Babes Coordinator, Mr. Omatsola Sifo, said the club now has a good structure to survive in the female league.

“You see, we the new management have put everything in place to make the players in good mood,” he said.

Olori Babes will contest with former Pelican Stars, Police Female Machine and Moje Queens for the promotion play-off to the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL).

Sifo expressed confidence that his team will give the other experienced clubs a good run for the promotion ticket.

Olori Babes lost 1-4 in the final of the 2019 Delta State FA Cup to Delta Queens of Asaba and narrowly lost to Edo Queens in a penalty shootout after goalless regulation time draw in the quarter-finals of the national women 2019 Aiteo FA Cup.
