Kwara United GM Rewards Players For Winning Governor Okowa Pre-Season Tournament

General Manager of Kwara United Football Club of Ilorin, Mallam Bashir Badawiy, has redeemed his pledge to reward the team for winning the maiden Governor Okowa Pre-Season Tournament recently held at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, the Delta State capital.

Badawiy, who is the organiser of the tournament, splashed 100,000 Naira on the players immediately after the final match between Kwara United and Lobi Stars Makurdi which ended in a penalty shootout that saw Kwara United emerging victorious.

He redeemed his pledge to the delight of the victorious Kwara United team who edged out teams like Bendel insurance, Rivers United, as well Lobi Stars, to emerge champions of the pre-season tournament.

Badawiy congratulated the team for a job well done and urged them not to relent as the victory was just a step forward to greater things to come when the new season football begins proper.
