Penalties reign at Nigeria National League End-of-Season Super-4 Play-Offs

It was a tale of penalty kicks as the Nigeria National League (NNL) End-of-Season Super-4 Play-Offs kicked off on Friday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

None of the matches produced a winner during regulation time and all had to be decided via penalties, whereupon Adamawa United and Akwa Starlets emerged victorious. The competition continues today.

Below is a summary of yesterday’s action:

Full Time: Adamawa United 1-1 Jigawa Golden Stars

After penalty shootouts, Adamawa United won 8-7.

FT Akwa Starlets 0-0 Warri Wolves

After penalty shootouts, Akwa Starlets won 3-1.

Third Place Match

Warri Wolves Vs Jigawa Golden Stars

Date: Saturday, September 14th

Kick-Off: 2PM

Final

Akwa Starlets Vs Adamawa United

Date: Sunday, September 15th

Kick-Off: 4PM
