Nigeria international Moses Simon scored an 84th minute winner on debut for Nantes in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday.
Simon, who is on-loan at the club from Spanish LaLiga side Levante, found the back of the net with six minutes of regulation time remaining as the Canaries claimed a 2-1 win away to 10-man Amiens.
The hosts were reduced to 10 men in the first half after Mali international Bakaye Dibassy received a red card.
Kalifa Coulibaly duly opened the scoring for Nantes, but Bafana Bafana midfielder Bongani Zungu levelled matters for the hosts with his first goal of the campaign before Moses’ winner for Nantes followed.
Elsewhere, North African duo Farid El Melali and Rachid Alioui found the back of the net for Angers in a 3-0 thumping of Metz at Stade Jean-Bouin.
Action resumes on Sunday with defending champions Paris Saint-Germain, league leaders Lyon and bottom placed Monaco all in action. (African Football)
