The Management of Crown Football Club, Ogbomoso, has showered encomium on the Oyo State Government, Oyo State Football Association, supporters, fans and all other stakeholders for their unflinching supports during the recently concluded 2018/2019 Nigeria National League (NNL).
Rollanson Odeh, the General Manager of the Ajilete Warriors, on behalf of the club extolled the Oyo State Government for the financial and moral support towards making the club a professional outfit and also appreciated the teeming supporters and stakeholders for being there at all times.
“I thank Almighty God for seeing us through the season peacefully. Our profound appreciation holds no bound to the Engr. Seyi Makinde-led Oyo State Government for their prompt supports. As a lover of the round leather game, he ensures our needs are timely attended to, so we say a big thank you to him. I will be an ingrate if I fail to appreciate the leadership and workers of Oyo State Ministry for Youth and Sports for the cordial relationship and invaluable pieces of advice. And to our resilient, articulate wonderful and accommodating fans, supporters and stakeholders for the overwhelming unalloyed supports at making sure we remain progressively united, I say a very big thank you,” the GM said.
Odeh also spoke on the club’s plans ahead of the next season, retained and laid off players as well as the club resumption date.
He said: “Assessment of the just concluded season has started in earnest with the aim of coming into the 2019/2020 NNL season better and stronger because proper and prompt preparation will prevent poor performances. What went wrong, what were the causes, what preventive/corrective measures must be put in place, among others, are being critically and professionally analysed.
“We are still working to putting the team in the rightful stage while players have been asked to go on break. Twenty players were retained to kick-start preparation for the next season and the players involved will be contacted and the date of resumption known after reaching out to the relevant authorities.”
Odeh, however, called on all concerned to further put in their utmost best at ensuring that the dream of moving the team up to the elite division is realised.
Daily Sports Nigeria reports that the Ajilete Warriors finished second in Group B4 in the Southern Conference of the 2018/2019 NNL with 13 points.
