There are now strong indications that the new Nigeria league season will kick off on February 21 after clubs kicked against a January 31 start.
The clubs rejected the January 31 kick-off because of cash crunch, while a cross section of players has insisted monies owed them are settled before the new season begins.
Already it has been proposed that Abuja will host the first Super 4 between January 20-24, while Uyo stage the second tournament between February 3-7.
The pre-season tournament will involve champions Enyimba, runners-up Warri Wolves, cup holders Akwa United and third-placed Nasarawa United.
The competition will prepare them for both the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup.
