Arsenal weigh up move for Ighalo

By Daily Sports on January 9, 2016

Although the opening week of the January transfer window has been relatively quiet the rumour mill is whirring along quite nicely.

Deals are starting to get over the line and Premier League clubs are starting to get their business done with 23 days remaining.

Arsenal looked set to secure the first major coup of the window but, as Arsene Wenger confirmed in his pre-match press conference ahead of today’s FA Cup clash with Sunderland, a deal for Mohamed Elneny is yet to be finalised.

The famously frugal Frenchman is unlikely to splash much more cash this month but he’s already planning ahead for the summer, according to new reports.

Odion Igahlo’s form for Watford has caught Le Professeur’s eye and Wenger is said to be weighing up a move for the Nigerian at the end of the season.

The Hornets front man has scored 14 goals this term and the impact he has made at Vicarage Road has seen him emerge as a serious target for the Gunners.

Ighalo may regard Manchester United as his dream move but could he say no to the prospect of a switch to north London either?
