Arsenal Offer Elneny and Cash in Bid to Land Zaha

By Daily Sports on July 13, 2019

Arsenal have ramped up their bid to sign Ivory Coast international Wilfried Zaha.

According to the Sun, the Gunners have offered £40 million plus three players, including Egypt's Mohamed Elneny in exchange for the 26-year-old winger.

The Eagles are demanding £80 million for the Ivorian attack, who signed a 5-year contract to keep him at Selhurst Park until 2023 back in August last year.

Zaha scored 10 goals and assisted a further 10 in 36 games across all competitions last season, duly sparking interest from several English Premier League rivals.

In contrast, Arsenal midfielder Elneny featured a mere 17 times across all competitions as the Gunners notably reached the Europa League final in the 2018/19 campaign.

Both players were involved in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations hosted in Egypt with Zaha’s Elephants falling to Algeria in the quarterfinals while the Pharaohs suffered a shock defeat to South Africa in the Round of 16.  (African Football)
