Nasarawa United skipper Baba Idris died on Monday after he suffered from typhoid fever, according to mtnfootball.com, quoting club officials.
The central defender helped Nasarawa finished third last season and will represent Nigeria in the 2016 CAF Confederation Cup.
Last year, Idris was called up by the Nigeria U20 team, the Flying Eagles.
