Enugu Rangers have shot themselves back into contention in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Super Six after they recorded a 2-1 win over Lobi Stars on Thursday at the Agege Stadium in Lagos.
First-half goals from Godwin Aguda and Chiamaka Madu gave the Flying Antelopes the perfect start they wanted and even though Sikiru Alimi pulled one back in the second half for the Pride of Benue, it was not enough to deny coach Gbenga Ogunbote’s men the crucial three points they needed to keep their title aspirations back on track.
Akwa United defeated FC Ifeanyi Ubah 2-1 in the second match while the third match between Enyimba and Kano Pillars was abandoned due to heavy downpour at the Agege Stadium.
The match will continue on Friday morning. (Goal)
