Children International School Wins Private School Games Competition

Children International School Lekki has been declared the winner of the 2019 Private School games Junior Competition.

The three days event which witnessed superb performances from various schools in different categories of sporting events came to an end with the athletics event at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, on Saturday.

Children International School Lekki crowned the day with 9 gold, 7 silver and 3 bronze while Chris land school and Avital School came second and third respectively. CIS were awarded the sum of N250,000 after winning all categories and best crew.

The competition began on Thursday with Swimming at the National Stadium Surulere swimming pool. The event saw a great performance from five different schools (i.e. CIS Lekki, Chrisland School VGC, Madonna International School, Emerald School and Pampers School) which Children International School triumph with 10 gold, 9 silver and 8 silver. Chrisland School and Emerald emerge second and third respectively.

The Legacy Pitch National Stadium, Surulere, welcomed all students in the day 2 Event which was Football. CIS Lekki also clinched the trophy after defeating Childville School boy 5-0 and Chris land school girls 3-0. Ibrahim and Ebruvwiyor of Children International School were awarded the Most Valuable Players of the competition.
