Real Madrid and Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has unfolded plans to generate a bit of extra revenue during his post-playing days.
Madrid’s 30-year-old all-time leading goalscorer announced last week that he has partnered with Pestana, Portugal’s largest hotel chain, to open four “CR7” hotels over the next few years, according to a report by NBC Sports.
It quoted Ronaldo as saying: “My job is to play football but life won’t always be like this. I have to dedicate myself to this new project and I have the best team in the world around me to help.”
It said that the first CR7 hotel will be opened in his hometown of Funchal, Madeira, where the Ronaldo museum – erected by his own self – can be found.
