The first edition of the Nigeria National League (NNL) four teams pre-season tournament has kicked off in Yenagoa, capital of Bayelsa State.
The tournament is being organised by the Chairman of Bayelsa United FC, Hon. Tony Ogola, for the teams to shape up ahead of the new season that will kick off soon.
According to Hon Ogola, the tournament will give each of the teams an insight on they how they have prepared so far for the incoming season.
The teams participating in the tournament that kicked off on Wednesday are hosts Bayelsa United, Calabar Rovers, Dynamite Force FC of Iyamo and Warri Wolves.
All the matches will take place at the rebranded Samson Siasia Stadium.
“You see, this tournament is going to be every year here in Bayelsa State and it will be played before the kick-off of the new season,” Ogola informed Daily Sports.
