Nigeria international Junior Ajayi has signed a new contract that will keep him at Al Ahly through until 2022, the club have confirmed.
Ajayi, who joined the Egyptian giants from CS Sfaxien three years ago, has signed a new three-year contract.
The 23-year-old joined the Red Devils for a reported fee of $2 million from the Tunisian giants in 2016 and has gone on to establish himself as an integral part of the squad.
Ajayi has missed most of the season due to injury, having sustained knee ligament damage in the club’s Caf Champions League match against Township Rollers in Botswana last year.
He officially made his return to action last month and has scored three goals in his eight appearances for Al Ahly this season.
Ajayi has already won two Egyptian Premier League titles, helping Al Ahly to the 2016-17 and 2017-18 crown.
His only appearance for the Super Eagles came away to Serbia in an international friendly last year. (African Football)
