Wydad Casablanca and Lobi Stars drew 0-0 in the CAF Champions League Group A match at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Morocco on Tuesday.

As a result, Moroccan giants Wydad remained second on the Group A standings, while Nigerian side Lobi also remained fourth on the table.

Wydad Al-Ouma dominated the match from the start, with their influential captain Brahim Nakach pulling the strings in midfield.

Ortom Boys shot-stopper Olufemi Kayode was the busier of the two goalkeepers.

The 26-year-old made two quick successive saves to deny Wydad Al-Ouma in the 14th minute as the hosts searched for the opening goal.

The two-time Champions League winners piled pressure on Lobi, but the likes of Mohammed Ounajem and Ismail El Haddad were very wasteful in from of goal.

Lobi managed to contain Wydad until Gabonese match referee Eric Otogo-Castane blew the half-time whistle.

The score was 0-0 at the interval following a first-half which was dominated by Wydad.

The hosts continued to dominate the match after the restart, but Lobi remained solid at the back, with Monsuru Bashiru working hard in defence.

Wydad coach Faouzi Benzarti decided to introduce France-born attacking midfielder Amin Tighazoui, who was once on the books of AS Nancy.

However, the visitors remained impressively resolute in the closing stages of the encounter.

Ultimately, the match ended in a 0-0 draw with Wydad and Lobi sharing the spoils.  (African Football)
