Remo Stars no threat to us, says Insurance Captain

By Anthony Obaseki, Benin City on January 20, 2019

Newly promoted team to NPFL Bendel Insurance of Benin Captain, Charles Omokaro, says their week three match against Remo Stars in Shagamu, Ogun State, is not a threat to the Benin-based side.

According to the former Warri Wolves and Bayelsa United player, Insurance players are used to Remo Stars having played them in the NNL league last season “and just recently we also met the last Super 8 play-offs.”

“For your information, we know Remo Stars inside-out as they, too, know us and so we are going to start where we stopped in Aba. We have the upper hand, so this game with the level of the team we are ready for Remo Stars. Truth though is that Remo Stars is not a pushover but we have the team that can withstand their threat,” Omokaro insists.

“It would be recalled that both sides met last season in the NNL league and we not new to each other the only thing here is that this is NPFL league,” he adds.

According to Omokaro, “The Edo State Government is doing everything possible for the team and the technical crew led by Monday Odigie is one of the best in Nigeria.

“We are going to Remo to get at least a point we know ourselves.”
