Tammy Abraham scored his seventh goal in four consecutive games as Aston Villa defeated hosts Middlesbrough 3-0 in Saturday’s English Championship encounter.
Fresh off his heroics in midweek – scoring a record four in a thrilling 5-5 draw with Nottingham Forest , the on loan-Chelsea striker slid in Yannick Bolasie’s cross after the hour mark to put his side two-goal up.
James Chester had handed them a first-half lead and substitute Glenn Whelan drilled a long-range effort past Boro goalkeeper Darren Randolph late in the game to wrap up an impressive away victory for Dean Smith’s side. The result moved Villa to the eighth spot in the Championship log and Abraham now has 11 goals from 14 league games since his deadline loan move from Stamford Bridge.
The England forward, of Nigerian descent, will hope to continue with his red-hot form when his side travel to the Hawthorns to take on West Bromwich Albion on Friday. (Goal)
