Obuh to give out daughter in marriage to NDDC Chairman’s son; wedding takes place in Dubai

By Daily Sports on October 21, 2018

Former Flying Eagles and Enugu Rangers coach, John Same Obuh will on 27th give out his daughter, (Icethonia Nneoma John Obuh) in marriage to her heartthrob, Hugo Ndoma-Egba, the son of the former Senate leader and the current Chairman of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba.

This much was disclosed by no other person than Coach John Obuh in a telephone interview.

According to the 2011 Africa Under-20 Cup of Nations winning coach, the Traditional marriage of his prized jewel, Icethonia Nneoma John Obuh will take place at his country home in Ndi Uduma Awoke Ohaofia, in Ohaofia Local Government Area of Abia State.

“I and my family humbly wish to remind you of our daughter’s coming traditional marriage date coming up on the 27th of October 2018 by 10am in Ohaofia,” the text message reads.

“You are by this text message cordially invited to this special occasion of our daughter’s traditional marriage in my family home at Ndi Uduma Awoke in Ohaofia, Abia State.

“My daughter is 24 going to 25 and she is currently a part time Master Degree student in one of the tertiary institutions in Kaduna.

“His heartthrob is the Hugo Udoma Igba, the former Senate leader and currently the Chairman of the Board of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). We are looking forward to seeing you, thank you,” the former Enugu Rangers sweat merchant said.

Speaking further, the coach who led national Under-20 team, The Flying Eagles to FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Columbia explained that the white wedding will hold in December 15th in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

“For the white wedding, it is going to hold on December 15th in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates. You are also invited to grace the occasion,” the Ohaofia, Abia Stat- born football tactician said.

There is no gain saying that come 27th, the Ndi Uduma Awoke in Ohaofia, Abia State will be a beehive of activities as who is who in Nigerian Football and the country’s political heavyweights will converge on John Obuh’s country home to honour and witness the traditional wedding of Obuh’s first daughter, Icethonia Nneoma, and her heartthrob, Hugo Ndoma-Egba, the son of former Senate Leader Victor Ndoma-Egba, who is currently the chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission.

It is going to be an opportunity for those who will not be making it to Dubai come December 15th for their White wedding to rejoice with them as they are formally pronounced husband and wife in accordance with the customs and traditions of Ohafia, the land of the warriors.

It is important to note that traditional wedding is the ultimate in marriage institution as the white wedding cannot take place without the traditional wedding where the father in the presence of all and sundry will hand over his daughter to her husband after the traditional rites have been performed and it is one marriage that the courts pay premium today than white wedding.
