Defence ace Leon Balogun expects more intense test at Liverpool

By Daily Sports on August 22, 2018

Brighton and Hove Albion’s Premier League game against Liverpool on Saturday will be “more intense” than their clash with Manchester United, defender Leon Balogun has said.

Balogun made his league debut as a substitute in Brighton’s 3-2 home win over United on Sunday and the former Mainz player expects the pace to be on a different level at Anfield.

“Liverpool is going to be completely different,” Balogun told the British media. “It is going to be a lot quicker and a lot more intense.”

The Nigeria international said he had spoken about the pace of the Premier League with his new team mates and that he had expected Sunday’s game to be a lot quicker.

“But they told me this is always the kind of game you play against United,” Balogun added. “They like to slow it down a little bit sometimes.” (Reuters)
