Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has dismissed veiled criticism from former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo described Juventus as a "family club" after leaving Real this summer.
But Ramos responded: "You had to dig a little deeper. Here we have always felt like a family. The key to success has been that we have always been, and we have felt part of that family.
"The loss of such an important player is negative, but that is not why we are going to stop winning. Throughout history we have gone through craques and have continued to win. You will have to leave this to us and Real Madrid will carry on, no matter what happens Madrid will not stop winning.
"He has decided to change stage and hopefully he will do well."
On new signings, Ramos added: "That does not depend on us. The loss of Cristiano is important, but no player must be above this club and this shield." (Tribal Football )
