Attacking midfielder, Cyril Olisema believes Akwa United can do even better this season following an impressive opening 24 matches in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The former Gombe United star was a vital cog in the club’s impressive spell last season. He has also fared well in the current campaign.
“It feels good to be training in readiness for the league following the World Cup break,” said Olisema speaking to Footballlive.ng
“All I want is to make a contribution to this team in the remaining league matches we have to prosecute.
Olisema said his focus is to work hard during and be ready when the season continue.
“I always set myself goals as a footballer and believe that as a group we can create something special.
“Last season was great, this season looks greater so far. We must remain focused and work hard, beacuse it will not be easy.
“The supporters were big part of what we achieved last season and we have to pay them back by making them proud on the field of play.
The Promise Keepers are second on the league log with 41 points from 24 games. (Footballlive.ng)
